#39: The Whole Is Greater Than The Sum of Its Parts
Dear friends, welcome to Living Boldly! I am so delighted you’re here.
This week, I’ve been floating on air.
There are all kinds of bad news swirling around us and yet, I’ve found myself dancing on my kitchen floor more than once (and that is a lot for someone who has been in a funk for the past several months).
First, I launched The Circle!!! I’m so amazed by the incredible people who decided to join us and step in the direction of their dreams with the support of our already very global community. (We have folx from Australia, Spain, Turkey, Canada, and the US joining us, and of that, I am very proud.)
And second, a trailer of my new Genius Womxn podcast has come out two days ago. I’ve been listening to it on repeat and I just can’t wait till next Wednesday when the first three episodes drop!
On this podcast, we will explore what it means to live a rich, beautiful, meaningful creative life and run amazing interviews with other brave womxn pursuing their creative dreams. We have episodes lined up with people like Katalina Mayorga, founder of @elcaminotravel, Ashlea Halpern, editor-at-large for @afarmedia, and sooo many more. This is going to be really, really good and I literally cannot wait.
My guests cannot wait either:
Launching the podcast this week has helped me see crystally clear: the whole is really greater than the sum of its parts.
If you’ve been on this newsletter for a bit, you may remember that I started another podcast at the beginning of 2020 that was distributed with this newsletter. I stopped that effort after about ten episodes.
Why? It wasn’t really good. It was just me reading out my newsletter issues onto a mic and offering up an audio version of this written word. I tried. But it wasn’t anything special.
How different is this launch! Now, I am not doing it alone. There is a team of incredible podcast professionals behind me, who ensure that we have a beautiful sound, amazing visuals, a brilliant content strategy, and so much more.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
I’m seeing this sentiment manifest in all areas of my life right now. The less I try to do it all alone, the more joy and brilliance shows up in my life. The less I resist leaning on other people, the more I find myself dancing on the kitchen floor.
I highly recommend it.
Onwards,
Yulia
This week’s joy links:
I’m reading about (and celebrating! 🎉) another female freelance travel journalist making five-figures in the month of September 2020
I’m listening to the trailer of my podcast!!! We launch the first three episodes next Wednesday and it would mean THE WORLD to me if you’d join me in sharing this podcast, subscribing, downloading the episodes, and leaving your review on Apple Podcasts so that we can get this podcast in the hands of as many people as possible
I’m watching How to get away with murder on Netflix and slowly coming off of binging it (I’m now watching just one episode a night 😬 which is a sign that better times are ahead)
